I need to hatch out more of my pekin ducks. I have processed several mixed duck but never thought they were real meaty. Must do some of the pekins!

. and i'm not kidding. with the 3 ducks that i processed today, i have 9 in the freezer and one in the cooler, cooking from it. my freezer is 280 liter big (about 90 gallons, i think) and with 9 ducks in it, some zucchini, sour cherries and some apricots, it is already half full

i processed another 8 today. i had somebody helping me with the plucking. i'll butcher another 8 tomorrow and i decided to keep 4 over winter. maybe i'll hatch or i'll have somebody hatching ducklings for me in the spring. i'll try, at least. we see... now, i have to talk to my daughter to come here to get them, because i have 40 more to butcher in about one month. these are smaller, tho. i dont know why
