I put 28 eggs in my homemade incubator today. (March 25)

Congrats Out of the Brooder! Glad to see that a homemade incubator worked! I watched countless videos on how to make one but ended up buying one instead. Sounds like you did a great job!

I ended up with 21, 4 EEs and 17 RIRs. I am disappointed that they all didn't hatch. They were all still doing well until about day 19 or 20. There was no sign of life today, ( day 23) so I opened the last seven up and they were all fully developed but dead. I think I had the humidity too high the first 18 days. I started 28 more today and I hope to do much better. I will keep the humidity very low for the first 18 days and then try to get it very high for the last 3.
