I meant to use a chamomile tea bag but accidentally used earl gray. I occasionally put a little squeeze of cooled off chamomile tea in my 'blind-in-one-eye' runner duck's eye and it soothes it ,, also my chicken who has eye lice still attacking her after 2 treatments of permethrin (3rd one coming soon) SOOO I put it in her eyes too
I was freaking out when I realized it was earl gray! I ran back out to the coop with saline and flushed their little eyes with it. Then I looked it up and learned earl gray tea is good for eyes too . at least its ok for people, I hope my birds will be fine
