I put shavings in with my ducks as bedding and they are eating them!

Hello!
So I read somewhere that the best bedding for ducks is shavings so I decided to try them out, and now they are eating the shaving! What do I do? Is that okay?

If they're actually eating the shavings, not just nibbling on them, you need to switch over to something where they can't actually ingest the material like towels, or puppy-pee pads. An overaccumulation of shaving's in their crop/ and digestive tract may end up causing a blockage which is something you don't want to deal with.

I only saw one actually eat a shaving the rest are just trying to eat them and nibbling them.
