I first learned noticed individual chicken personalities as a youth, working for a chicken farmer. We've had chickens for many years. Always a chicken paradise; comfortable coops, plenty of free space, multiple feeders/waterers.
It's peaceful sitting with chickens who want not and have plenty. I provide them with sanctuary & subsistence, they provide me with the same.
When the rest of the world gets to be too exciting, I go to the aviary & enjoy the simple lives of free chickens.

It's definitely better to have it and not need it rather than need it and not have it.

Yes! Watching animals peacefully congregating together can be so fun and relaxing. And chickens are great pets, as they provide a lot of benefits, too!

Chicken TV, no cable or satellite bills, no reruns, live performances every day in full color. What's not to like? As you say, enjoying the simple lives of free chickens.Very theraputic.
