We have a chicken about 4 weeks old and we just figured out an issue that is going on with her. She has a split tendon (?). Where the leg swells and they can't walk on it well.

How old is to old to treat them and exactly how do you do it?

She can get around by flapping her wings and she eats and drinks fine but she can't walk.

HELP! PLEASE!

Thank you!

There was just another thread about slipped tendons. Do a search and you should see it come up. I think the title line says something to the effect of 'chick with weird leg issue'. Someone details what you can do to try and reset it. If it's already infected, I wouldn't try. If you're breeding birds, you should probably just cull. Bear in mind that this can be a chronic condition. I always cull with slipped tendon. Hope everything works out.
Here's the link.
