I'm so sorry and am so sad for you and for Abbey. There aren't any words that can make good sense of any of it. Sending hopes for peace...

Well after a good cry last night I went to bed - had a very uneasy rest I keep looking at Abbey and checking on her and the pup, they were fine I was just being over protective. I know it was " just one of those things " but it sure is hard to handle it. I get way to attatched to all the animals here and when I loss one to death I really take it much harder than DH ( he is hurting but not as bad as I am )

Abbey is still upset this morning - she is still going around the house whining and looking for him. DH made a nice place for him to rest and we are not allowing Abbey to go over there right now ( dont want her to smell him and try digging him up or something).

On the plus side I was awoken by " Brutus " ( the pup ) barking and playing with Abbey this morning, I will start bringing him in the livingroom today to play with Gypsy ( my white boxer she is alittle older ) and Lucy ( DH's teeny weeny pup ) so he will have playmates.

I thank you all for your kind words and support I really am so glad I found this site and truely value each and everyone on here. Your kind words and support were just what I needed to hear yesterday and today, I cant say thank you enough.

( to answer your question the pups are going to be 1 month old on the 31st )

thank you

Julie, Jeff, and Abbey

So sorry for your loss, I think there is a petloss support group. Petlossgrief support.com, they are really great, losing aloved pet is like losing part of your family, since they are really a very big part of your family. We came so very close to losing our yorkie last week, to a neighbors pit bull, He shook my baby like a rag doll. the vet said J.R. was very lucky,so I know how you are feeling.

Words cannot properly express my sympathy for your loss. It's ashame, especially since you've waited for this litter for so long. I know how hard it is to lose someone, especially when they have yet to live out their life. Things happen; it was an accident. You did all you could and you were fortunate enough to get a chance to cuddle with him one last time and say goodbye. Just think, Brutus is still there with you; his brother lives in him... I hope both you and Abbey (and your DH) find peace with this. Take care.

I never planned on being a breeder, I never planned on having a male boxer at all, but my male was a gift from some friends and once he was here I could not imagine my home with out him LOL

once Wally started to get bigger and showing everything a Boxer was breed for ( great family pet, great watch dog, and such a fun lovable guy ) I thought it would be great to see what kind of pups he could father - so we got him a girlfriend - she had 5 beautiful babies with him all healthy happy babies ( 3 of which I still see ) she is now fixed, than when Abbey came along we thought it would be great to see some babies with her and Wally.

I know Brutus will be a great family member to the right family - we are going to be very picky - as to who this little guy goes home to.

I took some pics of him today - I will post them as soon as I get the film devloped ( I really need a digtal camera lol)

thanks everyone - for helping us get through this -

( sorry to hear about your poor Yorkie Sundance - hope he makes a full recovery )

Julie

I'm so sorry. Don't worry, yeah it feels bad at first, but accidents happen, & don't think that it's your fault for it, because it's not, it was his time to go, even for the age he was. You still have another puppy that you can care for. Don't worry. Things like that happen.
