What about spraying them with liquid seven instead of dusting them. I'm talking about using one of those pump sprayers. Would this be harmful?

You can spray their coop, yes, but for the chickens themselves I prefer dusting them. The verdict's still out on Sevin and I haven't been able to find any more info on the "ban on using on poultry". There are other types of poultry dust available, some organic ones too. I think you should ask at your local feedstore/farming supplies store what they have available, if you are unsure.
