Hey fldiver,
She really loved the spa treatment. Each day she was really trying to run away from me to avoid the leg lube treatment but now that I gave her the spa treatment, she actually comes to the cage door!
Lots of questions - here's the answers:
The toe looks better - certainly not "good" yet, but better. I really thought she was going to lose that toe. It will be certainly permanently disfigured. The knuckle is smaller than the toe itself - it is still quite swollen. The black part was the scab but now that it has fallen off it is kind of purple and red underneath. There are no open wounds anymore though so I think it is just healing tissue.
Her belly is much better. The yellow scab is still there but you can see all around the edges where it is lifting off and getting ready to drop off. It is also only one small circle where it used to be a long strip along the breastbone. I really considered peeling it off after the wash but decided against it.
The roo is doing spectacular. His feet still have some raised scales but I expect him to make a full recovery. He is VERY protective over the hen. The little bugger actually tried to flog me when I grabbed the hen for her wash today. He will let you pick him up and will not struggle one bit. He just does not like anyone messing with his lady.
I have not named them yet! I'm not sure what names I like the best yet.
The hen was singing an egg song today but I checked and no eggs yet. I am guessing that's a good sign though!
I will get some close up pictures of their feet soon and post them.
