She's very striking!

One of the silkies I was raising (that I think may have been a pullet based on behavior) was solid black with a white throat... would that be in the "mottled" category? I gave all three to a friend down the road b/c I had them separated and then didn't want to keep them in a small pen forever. There was also a buff cockerel with two black feathers in his tail area, and a solid white.

First time i have ever seen a silkie with gold eyes. I would expect that color for mottling though.

Her eyes are so beautiful that even if they are a fault, I'll be keeping them in my stock-it's not like there are any shows here. The photos just don't do justice to the molten gold in her eyes. What color should I breed her to if I decide to breed her? I'm getting silkies from the US in Oct/Nov & I'll get a cockerel for her with the pair I'm getting if I can work out how to get more mottleds.
