By let them out do you mean into the run or free ranging? Into the run should be fine, but maybe wait a bit to free range.I normally let them out at 7:15. Should I keep them in a little later? Would this help at all?
No odds! Chickens will usually go in right before it gets dark. You can go to bed knowing you don't have any rouge chickens out there. What are the odds that they don’t? I couldn’t go to bed knowing I have a rouge chicken out there.
My go to snack was oatmeal. I need something new. They don’t like mealworms. UghhhhYeah, chickens run on their stomachs. If you have treats near by, they will quickly get over fear to get the snacks.
Mine like watermelon and especially blueberries. Also apples and cucumbers. My go to snack was oatmeal. I need something new. They don’t like mealworms. Ughhhh

The coop is in the middle of a fenced in area. I lock them in the coop at night and let them roam in the fenced area during the day. I live in South Carolina and the weather changes on a dime so I used a treat bag with oatmeal to move them quickly into the coop. UNTIL I BUMPED MY HEAD AND SCARED THEMBy let them out do you mean into the run or free ranging? Into the run should be fine, but maybe wait a bit to free range.
