I set eggs today!

Of my own flock i put in 4 silkies and the rest should be wyandotte mixes or pures. Hoping the silkies hatch as they are pure bred. is it ok for eggs to be in a turner for 3 days before turning the incubator on? Because I wanted to wait until I had a good amount of eggs to hatch.

Is the turner switched on? I know you should turn the eggs you are storing at least once a day to keep the yolks centred.

Its on now i had it off until i collected more eggs if you mean the turner on yes it was on.

Setting around 50 tonight. Copper Marans, Welsummer and a few green eggs to add some color to the incubator! I don't know which of my hens, laid the green eggs as she must be a mixed hen. I purchased a few welsummer chicks last spring at a 4H auction, there must have been some action behind the chicken coop to get green eggs.

My ees arent laying but my olive egger has a dark egg its impossible to see if they are fertile lol shes not laying either lol.
