On the 27th of last month, should I start getting concerned? If I'm doing this right this would be day 23? I have a bunch that pipped yesterday morning but since then nothing has happened.

Dang it, I knew it! What can you expect from someone who graduated from North Pole Highschool...

So they go 23 days right?......I don't know how much longer my body can handle this, never again will I hatch out chicks AND quail at the same time!

Your eggs are still fine i am assuming. I had a Coturnix Quail that hatched on day 20. She is fine and very healthy so i would leave your eggs in the bator 3 more day just to see. Good Luck!

Thanks Joy! A few of them are rocking and rolling, so I know at least some of them are alive in there. I just don't know how much longer I can tolerate the smell being emitted from this incubator!

Wooohooooo! My temp and humidity is 100.8 and 77%....does that sound about right? Are these guys like chickens and will be ok in the bator for a day or two?

Today would be day 23, depending on what time of day you set them, this determines when they 'should' start hatching. Mine were pipped a full day before they started hatching, but then I had one that hatched on day 21, so go figure.

They can take 23-24 days, and that's with perfect incubation settings. Of course, incubators are rarely ever perfect. Give them till at least day 27 (Thursday) before you toss any away, then make sure you candle them for movement first before opening any.

Quail can't last in the bator as long, no more than 24 hours is best. Try to move them by 12 hours, just be sure to check for pips first, and move fast!! I would lower the temp to 99 as well, they seem to hatch better that way.

shelleyd, thank you! I don't know how I'll adjust the temp at this point though (Hov 1588). I have a bunch of pips right now and one little guy out. Thank you very much for the tips though, I'll see what I can do. I need to go get my brooder ready, can these guys escape from an action packer with two foot sides at this point?

In the mean time here's a little cuteness for ya!
