i somehow acquired 2 runaways and i have questions. please help

I took the rats tail to pick it up and kept the filthy creature an arm length away from me. Just had to walk about 15 meters calmly to the bin.

If you want to overcome such useless fears, I advise you to practice with mice you can buy as cat-toys at the pet store.

i have so many useless fears, i wouldn't even know where to start. my imagination is worse than any zombie rat

i have a new useless fear that the singular tiny mouse is going to chew the chickens toes while they sleep. i read somewhere that it could happen and my imagination has taken that and ran with it

i know it's ridiculous because almost everyone here has had mice or rats but they also have chickens with toes.

on the bright side, i am aware it's irrational
i will still count their toes though

We have a rat problem. There, I said it. We have 2 rat zappers in the coop, when I find a dead one or two, I grab a glove and take them by the tails and fling them over the fence. The hawks take it from there.

I should mention I’m a research technician and more than used to rodents, just don’t want them in my dang chicken run!

Yes to the toes, they don’t seem to bother the chickens at all (they can’t get in the coop). I fling the beasts over the fence that doesn’t have a neighbor by it
