i think 2 turkey farms very far north from us, but they culled birds at fota island in cork (south from us) i think too. it's like a zoo sort of a place. i think they even closed for a bit.

i looked up fota. they had to euthanise 73 birds and isolated/housed 83. there were 12 confirmed cases. they'll be closed for at least 3 weeks

so. i have been keeping them in the run and worrying that they aren't happy but so far () nobody's complaining or trying to get out. then i worry there's something wrong with them

there were something like 40,000 turkeys that were culled between the other two places further north.
it's so heartbreaking. it doesn't even solve the problem.

the last lockdown they had here lasted 3 months. they will go mental in there for that long.
i'm trying to figure out a way where i can get them to go directly into the greenhouse without making pitstops to steal crows bread.
i don't think they'd let me pick them up, even though they are getting WAY better about me treating their feet.

i've been trying to keep them entertained but i think they just want out. i don't blame them one bit.
