Okay, I got my quail at a sale on Sunday. When I bought them, they were in a box that had the front removed with a welded wire 'window'. I didn't actually get to see the whole bird. When I got them home, they had bare backs (no feathers). Upon observing them, I figured it was becasue they seem to walk all over each other, and even stand on each other. Does that sound reasonable? or could it be something else?
Also, Sunday, only one egg. Monday only one egg. I have 4 females and two males. Is this stress that is causing them to not be laying? The guy I bought them from said they are old enough to be laying. Or could it be something else?
Also, when the males poop, there is white foam attached to the poop. Is this normal too?

, Should they be eating a maintenance game bird feed, or laying feed for quail. And do they need grit? And do they need a place to dust bathe.
Thank you for your patience! I'm such newbie!
