I struck an awesome deal with a local farmers market

Very nice! I got some stuff like that for a while when I was running a farmer's market; my supplier would give me all his "off" produce when I picked up my orders. A lot of it was still good enough that I ate it myself. The rest went to the birds and goats. Unfortunately it only lasted a few weeks, but it was great while it lasted.

I would have gone through it first to see what I could keep to eat for myself Chickens would get what was left. What a great find

I get a banana box full of assorted produce from my local grocer every week. He gets free eggs every now and then. Works for me and the chickens love it!

Nice job! I ask at the local grocery store when we are there if I can have their scraps. They always have someone going through one of the produce sections cleaning it out - so I grab those scraps.
