I think it's lighting with the smooth bird. I hate sexing frizzled birds by feathers. Looking at the 5ish week old pic of that bird - I'd say pullet without a doubt.View attachment 3371440

Both of this saddle feathers appear point!! Unless I'm being deceived by lightning?? I do agree as chicks they looked like pullets. I'm not sure of the technical term for this, but out of all birds I've owned and even in solid-colored varieties the males have a shiny perimeter of their sex feathers. I believe that's what I'm seeing on these guys!! They are certainly unusual birds though![]()
