It’s my 6th day incubating lovebird eggs when one of them seems to have a half way blood ring. I see a heartbeat though... if you have any answers please tell me

I saw you were asking about this in another thread... I am not an expert but if it were me I'd not worry and leave the egg alone for now. It's not clear (to me) that it is definitely a blood ring and even if it were, you couldn't stop it from happening. Wait a few days and candle again.

Here is some more information about candling. There are other articles related to this as well under the "Articles" Menu at the top of the page.

Yeah, leave it in. I had one with a blood ring that I almost threw out but I left it in. It hatched! It might be fine. I wouldn't candle it or handle much any more though because sometimes handling can rupture the veins, causing blood rings.

thank you! I was handling my egg a lot.... now I will leave it alone thank you!

What did you mean, you could 'see a heartbeat'? Sorry if the question is stupid, I've never hatched eggs before.

you see a pumping like motion in the embryo it’s amazing to see

Hi everybody! Thank you for all of the good advice but my egg has formed a blood ring, stopped moving and the air sack got smaller. My normal heat pad broke down so I switched to another brand witch was a bad idea. The lowest setting was 90 degrees but when I was sleeping it got hotter and in the morning it was 130 degree. I hated to finally see the heartbeat then the next day it died. I will leave it in the incubator for some time but thank you!
