I just discovered this site a while ago, and its progressively gotten more addictive. I used to turn on the TV or pick up a book when I got bored, now I go read BYC. Especially fascinating is the ever expanding almost game-show like 'What Breed or Gender Is This?' forum. Thats always good to kill a few dozen (hundred?) hours. Ever popular as well is the Emergencies. I'm facinated by what trouble chickens get themselves into and what indeed thinks chickens are great eating. The variety is staggering. I can't seem to stop. Then.... just when I think.... "Okay, I'm chickened out for today..." I see threads like "What are you crafting...." or "What are you canning?" and darn it, I'm hooked again and curious about what everyone else is doing.
Isn't that the first sign of an addiction?
I have no idea how this huge collection of people came together in a social network situation over.... Chickens. It's the darndest thing. I think we need a twelve step program. I started with 6 RIRs, moved into EEs, and BAs... and now I'm onto Spitz'... and have met dozens of people via the site.. some even local, some even neighbors. This is crazy.
And I'm really glad you're all here.
