Composting also. If more people would compost, it would reduce the landfill volume. However, I do neither composting or feeding my chickens my kitchen scraps. My neighbors are too close for me to compost, I'm afraid it would smell and they would complain. I should try it though, don't know until you do it I guess

Vermicomposing with black soldier flies is also great and productive use of food waste!
