I think I have a disabled chick (with PICS)

You might try some "liquid bandage" on his raw spots. Several coats and apply it every day or two. It will help protect his hocks from the rubbing. It sound like a congenital hip problem. I would try some physical therapy on him. Gentle stretching and flexing each leg several times a day for at least 5 minutes at a time.

I will defintiely try it... I'm open to any and all suggestions.

Let me know I am curious if he will take the massa my little bantams just love it.

He is adorable. I hope he gets more mobility and think it's great you are giving him a chance.

I can only imaging the peeping that would ensue putting liquid bandage on a chick! But if it works...

He is doing great. I'm afraid his legs might be "too far gone" as they don't stretch out as much as they used to and he is a week old today. However I will be getting everything I need to put his legs in splints tomorrow.

I don't plan on using the liquid band aid because it does sting open sores... but it was a good idea. I've been at work all day and just got home. Thankfully my honey support my decision to keep Malin alive and takes care of him while I'm at work. Malin is doing fantastic and certainly lets me know when he is mad. He is one loud little guy.

I will definitely work on "therapy" with him and see what we can come up with.

Well apparently he wasn't doing as great as I thought. Malin passed away last night. I knew not to get attached but I did. My heart is broken now. I'm not sure what happened, what was different. I will actually be giving him a burial spot in my garden, since he earned it. Thanks again for everyones support and suggestions.

I am so sorry.
