I think I have a tyrant in my flock!

The coop and enclosed area is approximately 20’ wide by 30’ long. this is only for sleeping and laying their eggs. During the day time they have 5 acres to free range.

If the coop itself is crowded, it can cause problem that carry over to the rest of the area.

I believe you to be correct. As am typing and deciding what I should do to relieve the stress on my girls. Probably start deciding which of the meat chickens come lately that I am raising for the table will go first!🙁 Tomorrow checking their weight! Thank you for your help. 🙏🙂

Hum...? Today while tending to my ladies I realized that I forgot to mention another variable to their routine. About a month ago or less. I asked in the blog if it would be alright to give all flock or meat maker feed to my mixed flock since I’ve been buying different feeds for different jobs and it was becoming expensive.

The answer was yes, that I could feed them “all flock” 20% protein, as long as I gave them additional calcium.
Which I’ve been doing so! Maybe I should go back to giving my layers, layers feed? Maybe it does make a difference? What about meat maker? Its 21% protein.
It could very well be the problem causer!
