I Think I Have An Egg Bound Hen?

Our Hen When She Walks She Makes A Nosie That Sounds Like She is in Pain and she has runny stool and her vent is swolling and she is staying in the hen house alot and she won't move alot it her stool is a greenish color and its sticking too her rear

soak her in a tub of warm water for about a half hour....Try that if that doesn't work soak her longer

She could be egg bound, which means an entire egg is actually stuck, either because of its position or its size. Or she could have egg yolk peritonitis and have eggs being dropped into the abdomen and fluid and infection in there. You'll have to palpate up her vent and see if you feel an egg when she's relaxed in warm water. If not, it's probably not egg binding.
