I think I have my first broody!!!

yodercountrygirl - I really dont know... this is my 1st flock and my 1st broody, so I'm learning as I go. I hope she gets back on the nest, but I dont know if 2 hours is too long, mine has never been off her nest for that long............. good luck!

Go look and see if shes back on the nest......

I would give her more time. I've read other threads that say to move them at night. So, I would give her until tomorrow morning. Maybe she'll get comfy and you can adjust the eggs to the spot she picked to settle in on.

Hey thanks guys, I needed that encouragement!!!

I think she will sit on them 2 of them were moved but she still gave me the evil eye.

She was sitting on her water bowel, if there was any water left in it.

I left my girl in the coop with the others and they don't seem to bother her. I ment to get a pic but it got late and I was to excited about candling!!! The results:.........*drumroll*......4/4 eggs!

Well where do I start!!! I moved into the pen during the day which was the big mistake I made... So through out the day I kept checking on her and she did move the eggs around but by night fall she was sleeping and there were no eggs under her.

So we took her out and put her back into the 1st nest. And we'll see what happens... Maybe we can bulid around her so she has some privacy....

Oh she is on the nest this morning.... but the eggs were cool off for along time yesterday.
