If she is wanting under the light instead of the cooler areas of the brooder it sounds as if she isnt warm enough? Just a guess and I hope she gets better.

Just wanted to update. The chick is still alive. I'm shocked as she looked in a very bad way on Sunday. She seems totally recovered. I guess something I did worked.. be it the electrolytes, antibiotics or just dumb luck.. No others seem to be ill either.

I was wondering how long to continue the additives to the water (abx, vitamins)

As it is getting cooler this time of year, shipping just 4 is very hard on them... if they are huddled under the heat lamp, they are cold. Are they in a draft free location? What is the temperature inside their brooder under the lamp?

I really cannot believe a hatchery would ship just 4 bantams in this weather. That is just asking for trouble. IMHO

They shipped quite a few more.. my order of the large order was 4 bantams and 2 RIRs.. The total that was shipped was more like 20 of different breeds
