well in june I bought a very nice looking oegb roo from my science teacher(hes a farmer too). When I got him I thought he wouldent be all that bad becouse hes so small and cute.WHAT A BIG MISTAKE.The first couple of weeks it wasnt so bad becouse he was still getting used to the new place BUT NOW at like 5;30 in the morning he goes off and its sooooo bad becouse hes high pitched and he does it for an hour constantly.then at 8:00 he does it again for an hour, then 12:00 and then at 4:00 and 6:00 at an HOUR at a time. When we use to just have female chickens the neighbors didnt mind but now I think at any day there gonna call animal control or somthin.Im seriously comsidering getting rid of him.SO then maybe I can replace him with 2 new ducks becouse the last ones I had got killed by a stupid racoon. Its just that I dont think theres gonna be anyone around here whos gonna take him.My mom found a place but they dont do it anymore becouse of the bird flue.Is everyones roosters just as bad as mine?

Every rooster is different. Why don't you ask your neighbors if the roo is bothering them before you make the final decision. If it is a problem then rehome him. If he is bothering you then you need to get rid of him for sure. Good luck.

yeah, our roo goes off constantly, I am afraid to go in the front yard because I am scared my neighbors will complain to me. He isn't loud every single day just most of them.

My Barred Rock Rooster is just like yours and I was so nervous that my nieghbors were gonna be upset. Then I decided to have a chat with them and they don't even care. They actually enjoy the crows. I went inside their house and can barely hear then crows. Talk to your neighbors first, like others have said and then decide.
