I think I need to help him... Please Help Me

if he is getting quieter and appears to be getting fatigued, it's probably because he's been trying to get out of a straight jacket for so long.

12 hours and no progress is a looong time to be struggling. he isn't going to go much further on his own. just be gentle. if there is membrane attached to its feathers or back, tear the membrane around it. it will not hurt to have a little of it stuck to the chick, it will wear off or the other chicks will take it off. at this point, i'm sure the yolk is absorbed. the key is to be gentle and don't tear the chick away from anything. you can tear the membrane as long as the vessels are dried, but don't tear it off the chick.

mine had a piece about the size of a dime on its back that i left, and it was gone within a day or two.

you can do it!

we can't speak for certain, but watch it. after 12 hours, it's not going to go any further on its own, is just going to get weaker and is probably becoming cemented in.

There are no other eggs.. Just the one... I think im gonna get some tweezers and help the little guy a bit.... Some reason I just don't feel right about how he is doing.... Thanks guys for all your help and concern .. I will post the the results and if all go's well some pics also....

Ok.. I took a couple small pieces off shell off ... Do I just very lightly peel small chunks off... Or do I lightly tap by the crack to loosen and weaken the shell?

Ok... I got some more shell away.. Taking a little break and giving him a little break... The membrane is open around his beak.... so he can breath.... As I peel little by little he seems to be moving in there better and better
