We had a rooster named Rose once. Thought he was a girl until his waddles grew! He was awesome, but we had to rehome him.

I think your Welsummer is a roo. I have a dozen Wellies that are 6 weeks old and the ones that I'm pretty sure are roos look just like yours. Here's a picture of some of them from a week or so ago.

The front and center chicks are pullets, and on the left, right, and in the rear are the cockerels.

I have welsummer pullets right now as well. They are 7 weeks old and none of them have pronounced combs or wattles. Your little one is definitely a roo! Cute little guy too!

That Wellie is definitely a roo. My wellies are almost 3 months old, and their combs and wattles are not anywhere near that big. He's going to be a beauty!
