I think it's finally happening!!!!!! [Does this sound like egg laying behavior?] Please!! I'm going

Ha ha ha. I've already obsessively checked like 5 more times today even though I'm not expecting another egg out of her until Friday :)

My first hen laid 3 eggs a day the first day she laid...it made me kind of nervous, like something was wrong with her. She slowed down and didn't lay more than 1 every other day after that :) But it was a surprise when I opened the coop and found 3 eggs.

wow, three eggs a day! Thats good!

NO way you will never get tried of chcekinh the coop. Are chickens started laying about two weeks ago and my DH check very two hours from 8am untill it gets dark around 5 pm. It is the high light of his day when he finds one.

AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

I was right! I was right! I was right!

I popped back out after I wrote the thread and both chickens were moving around the coop. They came out when they saw me and I thought that I was wrong for sure...but when I opened the coop lid, there it was, in all it's shiny, warm, brown glory! My first egg!

I am absolutely over the moon excited. I gave the girls an extra handful of mealworms for a job well done, and I'm super duper excited that they laid it in the coop instead of out in the yard!

Hopefully there will be more eggs to come!

And as for my hubby, who told me that the chickens were worthless since they haven't laid anything yet...well, he can suck it! I made this picture the background pic on his laptop :)

Gah I know how you feel! Each egg is special and precious!!!!!! Today I took a 2 year old to gather eggs with me- While handing one to me she dropped it- 2 feet onto cement. Miraculously it didn't crack all the way! YAY! I will still take her out with me, she is SO excited to see an egg in the box, and most 2 year olds don't get a chance to see where and egg comes from!
