so i teach 1st grade and three months ago the 2nd grade class at my school incubated and hatched chicks for a science project, the farmer told the teachers that most likely if they are brown they would be female. i brought home two brown chicks and three white, unfortunatly i had to get rid of all three white one since they started crowing every morning, as soon as i got home from dropping off my roosters my brown chicken started crowing i have always notice that out of both brown chickens the one with the larger comb was the one that crowed, just look
