I think my buff Orp might have a broken toe???

i noticed that when she was running it looked more like she was skipping. But when she walked appeared totally normal. I went out and picked her up..her midde toe is crooked! She gets up into the coop just fine, roosts fine, but when she runs, she skips. She was fine yesterday. Is there anything I can do for her?

She might just have a crooked toe...
My crowing hen Slifer had just one straight toe so she couldn't roost, but she got around fine.

It is slightly swollen, but t wasn't crooked before. She has no problem getting around or roosting. Should I do anything about it or just let it be? She is 1 year old.

I have the same question without starting a new thread. My 17 week old buff orp hen I think also has a broken toe. Skips around, roosts fine, stands only on one leg, and last digit of middle toe is bent under and a little swollen. Will she recover on her own or should we splint the toe with a popsicle stick and medical tape?
