One of my hens recently died of unknown causes so i am really worried about the rest of my chickens. My Silkies are only about a month off laying and my Pekin is already laying. Now one of my chickens looks sick and i dont want any more fatalities.
One of my Silkie hens has slime or mucus or something in her mouth. She keeps getting stuff stuck to her beak and she looks pretty gross and sick. I dont know whats wrong? She's also sneezing and sounds like she has a cold or something when she clucks. This only came on yesterday, she didnt seem sick yesterday but there was slime in her mouth and my Nan suggested she may have eaten a slug but i wasnt so sure.
Does anyone know whats wrong? She seems overall fine other than that but i will keep a close eye on her. Also if she is really sick would it be worth taking her to a vet, they are very expensive but i want her to be safe and healthy.
