They are about 4 weeks old now, and so far have turned up their noses, er, beaks, at all the treats I've offered them, (generally fruit like cantaloupe innards or raisins). Is this odd? or normal for this age? I want to eventually feed them mostly table scraps, grass and some grains so this is sort of a concern.

At 4 weeks.....I wouldn't be concerned they are not into treats. All it will take, is for one of them to taste it, like it, then the game is on.! Just be patient....trust me....they are like little piggies when they get older. Mine eat just about anything.

Good to know, thanks!

I did finally get them interested in some cantaloupe innards yesterday.

I'm not sure about yours, but mine usually don't show much enthusiasm for a new food. I usually have to feed it 2-3 times before they really like it.

It does help to have one of them snatch it up and act like it has a special treasure, then pretty much everyone will grab for it. Doesn't always work though ... sometimes they squeal and run away with it, but no one actually EATS any.

Still, seems like they always come around for almost anything after a few tries. Mine are about 11 weeks now. At 4 weeks, the things they enjoyed most were boiled egg yolks and oatmeal.

Oh, and it helps sometimes to mix with the usual feed. That's the only way I could get them to try egg yolks.

I think I'll go boil some spaghetti while there's still enough daylight.
