I think my duck may be sick

Okay, next question is does her breathing improve 100% when it's cooler?
I'm honestly not sure now. One thing I can say for sure is when she's panting, her beak gets really warm to touch. Otherwise, it seems to be what I'm assuming would be a normal temperature. And I've definitely still heard the whistling sound even when she's not panting. I'll keep a closer eye on her and keep you posted.

A mirror is so she can keep herself company. They really like to look at themselves an when you finally take her to your friends farm she'll be able to relate better to her new duck friends if she actually knows what they are[hense the mirror]
Bless you for taking her home and getting her back to health.
That's interesting. I had no idea they enjoy looking at themselves in the mirror. I had a cat for the longest time and he used to run at the sight of his reflection. I will find a mirror for her over the weekend and that stuffed animal. :p

Do you think she'll find it hard to fit in with them after being alone with me for so long?

No..Ducks are social beings and she will be happy to be back with other Ducks and outside.

Oh, I'm so glad to hear that. Even though I've become so attached to her, part of me feels bad about keeping her locked indoors and only having a human for company. :p
In the picture she actually looks ready to go back outside. I'd get her out to be with others.

Only thing you and new owners will have to watch for is the 3 that already live at the farm might not take to her right away and they may pick on her or try to run her off. So it is always a good idea to set up a see no touch pen when no one is around and let them all be together when you are that way picking which might not amount to much anyway but if it did you will be there to break it up. Hopefully it won’t take long for her to be accepted. Maybe if your not sure your ready to let go yet sounds like your pretty attached, you could take her out to the farm and see how she does then make your own decision on whether it’s time to let her go. I am sure you’ll make the right decision for her.
