For months I've been suspicious about one of my pullets. I have an EE that's for sure a cockerel and then I have this other one that I LOOOVE and since day one I've always had a feeling she was a HE. Well, I posted on here many times and the majority would say she was a pullet. Now "her" comb is about identical to the cockerel's and "she" has always acted very roo like. Also, her tail seems to be looking alot more rooster-like. I hope that I'm wrong and just paranoid, but I need some help from the experts!

I got him at my local feed store in the spring. I'm so heartbroken right now. We can't keep roosters at my current living situation. Neighbors will complain. Plus, we got our girls for fresh eggs .... my sister is a vegetarian and won't eat the eggs if she knows they're fertile. I'm so bummed out

It's a hen. The hackles are not pointed, they just appear to be because of the coloring on the feathers. Take a look at the saddle feathers too, they are rounded.

If it were a roo, it would have shiny feathers in the hackle and saddle area too, it is a hen! She looks like she is about ready to start laying.

The only thing that would make me think it is a roo is the curve on the tail feathers but it looks like it has been picked some so hard to tell. I wouldn't give up yet though.
