I think my good layer is constintly laying soft eggs.

In my coop I have windows.. I know my BR layer and a 3 month old share a window that they sleep in a night. My layer lays soft eggs in the window very often but I'm not sure if the 3 month old hen would do it though.. It looks like it is sitting right where my BR sits.. What should I do? It's very hard to give my 2 layers layer pellets when I have to keep it away from the younger ones that can't eat it yet and are still on chick grower. & when I let my 2 layers free range I have layer pellets in a feeder and the very rarely eat it. Please Help!!!!!

Thats what I was gonna say .

I would try some Oyster shell or some finely crushed up egg shells may even help.

when my broody hatched her chicks they all ate the layer feed it didn't do them any harm but I gave crumble

Feed them all flock raiser or grower feed, or starter/grower, and offer oyster shell on the side. Layer is fine -- if you only have hens of laying age.
