I think my hen is having trouble breathing! Please help me!

My hen Marigold has something wrong with her. She is constantly sneezing. I believe it only started yesterday, and is breathing through her mouth. It makes a sound when she breathes, like a little gasp. She is drinking, eating, running around with the other chickens, and appears to be normal besides her trouble breathing. She is on organic chick starter (we have a rooster) and has access to grit and oyster shells. She does seem to not be feeling the best. Marigold is three years old now. This hen means a lot to me. Please help me!

Any resolution? One of my girls is randomly mouth breathing a bit. Can’t hear anything, she’s moving around fine

Sadly my hen died, it got really bad. I do have some hens that randomly mouth breathe a little and they seem healthy. Hopefully your hen is ok!

Oh I’m so sorry!

Good to hear. I found a spot that smelled very strongly of ammonia so I cleared it out. Hopefully That will help. We’ve had so much flooding rain lately and holes have been worn in the tarp over the run that it’s gotten and stayed wet.
