This is my first pair of seramas, and I'm so excited to start my flock of minis....but I have a feeling Miss little JuaniTA is actually Mister JuaniTO. She was supposedly about 16 weeks when I got her/him and was told she was a hen. But as the feathers grow out and the stance changes and with the behavior...i feel that is not the case. Juan(ita) goes talons to talons with the other serama rooster (he crows so I know for sure on him)...will fight off our 2.5 month old Wyandotte and Ameraucana pullets...gangster as hell. But at the same time he/she will snuggle in your neck...has put my husband and a few drunken buddies to sleep more then onceand is just so sweet, almost narcoleptic as soon as you pick em up and start petting/playing w feathers. So hen like qualities too. Although I have a jersey giant rooster that is as sweet as can be once you pick him up too. Maybe roosters are all soft, squishy love bugs underneath all the bravado
Sorry....squirrel
Soooo what do yall think?? Any serama experts chime in anytime lol cause I'm so confused. No crowing but I've read some don't crow....dunno if that's true but also no eggs and no mounting by Poncho the other white Roo
Disclaimer: no chickens were harmed or annoyed during this photo shoot...as seen by the last pic haha
