We purchased our chicks from our LFS, sexed, with a 10% chance of being male.. We purchased them 6 weeks ago, and were told they vary in age but are between 1-2 weeks.. We are new to chickens, but its apparent to us that Coco has some differences comb and wattle wise compared to our other chicks.... The comb is a lot BIGGER then the rest, with lots of little bumps in vertical lines, and its red... Coco is also the only one with a wattle and she is the smallest one....
So... are these differences indicate that she might be a he? Or are they common with female silkies? Our other chickens are Rhode Island Red, Black Sexlink, Golden Sexlink, and a Bramha... I don't know what type of silkie she is, she was just in with the golden sexlinks....
