I think my stepdaughter is stealing from us

Yes, some things that happened in the past couple of weeks have really opened DH's eyes. First DSD#1 asked for $50 that she said she was short for her car payment. DH gave it to her. He found out that the very same night she went to Texas to a party. DSD #1 told us she couldn't afford gas money to come down for thanksgiving, so DH gave her the money. He also filled her gas tank for the trip back home. She went home this past Saturday. Yesterday (Sunday) she sent me a text picture of the purebred chihuahua puppy that her DH and her went out and bought.

Off topic and gonna get me in trouble but if getting animals we couldn't or shouldn't afford was a crime than half of BYC would be in the slammer.

I don't think it's a matter of getting animals that we can't afford. It's a matter of "borrowing" money for one bill or expense or another, and then showing proof of a frivilous expenditure. If she needed $50- so badly for a bill that she had to beg or borrow it, where did she get the money for the dog?

Just to clear things up. DSD#2 borrowed the $50, she didn't get the puppy. She already has 4 dogs and 3 or 4 cats.
DSD#1 borrowed the money for the trip down and back and then went out and bought a puppy. PC, I don't think it's a crime. I know I couldn't live without my critters, but it opened DH's eyes about throwing good money after bad.

Help me process and stew my egg sucking Polish, and I'll take you even more seriously!

No problem. Pressure cooker or crock pot?
