I ordered 10 chicks from MPC, 5 EE (all have their little tail feathers growing in!) and 5 GLW! 2 of them have the long wings already, and their little butt feathers. Not bad for a week old!
The other 3, though... One has longer wings, but no tail feathers, and the 2 have super short wings and no feathers! One of the silkies I hatched out also has short wings and no tail feathers. They're completely round and fluffy!
I think I ended with 60% GLW roos. Could be just too early to tell, but they bare butts remind me of penguins right now! One even acts like a rooster, first to check out everything and pecks at me when I put my hand near the girls.
