First off, hello! Long time listener, first time poster. I've had chickens for about 5 years now and only managed to get 1 rooster in the fist bunch 5 years.
I have 3 new chickens that are meant to be hens (aren't they always? LOL), all are about 6-7 weeks old. I swear one of them is trying to crow. Is that mega early?? My first rooster (an easter egger) didn't start until about 16 weeks. I hear it and when I open the coop door they stop. I’m starting to think I’m mad.
These aren’t the greatest pictures and I can try to get better ones later. They are meant to be 2 marans (black and blue) and an olive Egger. I’m sure the black maran is a hen. The other two are suspect... what do you think? I'm on the fence, but the crowing is throwing me off. Thank you for all the help!
