mommysongbird - I can sense your frustration, it's not a fun place to be, to be sure. Do a search on here - you'll find a ton of threads, peeps who have gone through exactly what you're going through, and worse. Maybe you can find one that really hits home & PM that person to get details on how to handle. You have two choices: choose to correct the behavior so you can keep him; or choose to not deal with it, and get rid of him. Either one is viable. But, it does you no good whatsoever to simply vent about it, although I know sometimes you just need to!
