I think "She" is a "He"? Can you tell?

I am shocked that he/she crowed! EEs are sort of tricky, but my EE roo (Apr 26 hatch) was WAY more roo looking than yours. Actually yours looks a bit more like my EE hen, but gosh, a crow is hard to dispute! Perhaps you have a late developer?? Hmmm, wait and see......

If he is ur only roo, ur hens will b fine. If u do keep him, u will have fertile eggs, then u will have to deal with ur hens wanting to set (broody). Not all hens do that, but some do. I have ALOT EE and Ive never had one go broody on me. Some hens will take care of their chicks so u dont have to worry about it, but some dont and ull have to put them n a brooder box. (A place where they can keep warm, w/ a lamp). Having fertile eggs means ull have a chance to expand ur flock, by hatching ur eggs, but ull have to take care of the chicks. I love having baby chicks, they r soooo much fun, and they r just so darn cute!! Just really depends on what u want to do, Good Luck!!

Here is a pic of my SS "girl" from MPC at 9wks old.

For now, we have decided to keep him. He is 17wks old now, hangs with the other 5 pullets and still gets chased by our 7 hens. He doesn't crow very much and for the most part is a good boy.

Good luck!
