So I have two 7 1/2 week old EE chicks. One of them (Pearl) I think is almost 100% pullet. The other (Brook) I’m not so sure and I’m leaning towards cockerel. Brook seems much bigger than Pearl and his comb has been practically 3x as big as Pearl’s for a few weeks now, plus it’s kinda red. I’ve got some pics:

So that’s what I’ve got for you. Any opinions?

I think they both have very red combs for that age. They may be 2 cockerels, but wait until saddle feathers come out (1-2 weeks) to be sure.
Exactly

I hope I'm wrong, pea combs are a bit tricky at young age, but that seems very red to me.
Yeah. I am very suspicious of Brook because his comb is really big compared to Pearl’s! That’s what got me from the start. It’s hard to tell until you see the saddle feathers, though!

Male saddles come in much later, your birds are both cockerels, I am sure about it. Nothing about them is female like at all.
I always see the first saddle feathers come out in my Brahmas at 8-9 weeks old. Obviously they are not visible until you search them, for seeing them without having to search them you have to wait more.
