Both definitely cockerels. One is simply less dominant over the other. I would, however, like to see how they turn out. EE roosters are gorgeous.Even Pearl? Heh. Still not giving up hope though! I have a taker for if one/both of them are roos who will, simply said, make them into dinner.![]()
When they start crowing, I’ll have to get rid of them. My neighbors would definitely complain. I really do wish I could keep one/both of them.I would, however, like to see how they turn out. EE roosters are gorgeous.
Ok! For what reason, may I ask?I would like to see a close up picture of Pearl's back taken from above, please.
The shape of feathers on the back, especially in the saddle area, are one of the ways to determine which sex. Pullets will be rounded, and if thinner, finer, and pointed feathers are coming in that's the final answer (cockerel.)Ok! For what reason, may I ask?
Ok I knew that- just got brain washed for a second. The shape of feathers on the back, especially in the saddle area, are one of the ways to determine which sex.
I don’t think Brook has red…I’ll give you no doubts: in EE’s, the red coloring that you see on both of them is only a cockerel trait.
