I think the little eggys died! UPDATE they are all dead!! :(

They are probably resting, yhatching is hard work. Just give them time.

I don't want to give up but they are really being stubborn little babies. I guess that I am one of the VERY impatient mommies. I don't like it when things don't work the way they are supposed to. Then again the human babies didn't ever come when they were supposed to either. Should have learned then I guess...

Unfortunately they were all dead in the shells this morning. All were perfectly formed but just dead. Guess that I won't be doing the hatching thing again as I never have any luck doing it.

Awww. I'm so sorry to hear that. Are you using egg cartons?
I just had a hatch that were also dead in the shell, pipped through their membrane and died. I think it may have had something to do with the humidity.
Get some mutt eggs, try 4 eggs, allow more fresh air in, through a crack in cover for instance. I have turkey eggs in now and will up the humidity by another dish of water in the center of my incubator.

Give it a break, but don't give up. They say everything happens for a reason, maybe there is a reason that we cannot see, yet will give us experience down the road.

Fully formed dead in shell chicks is almost always a humidity problem. Is there any reason your humidity may have escaped/dropped the last few days? Don't give up. We all have good and bad hatches. I know it can be disheartening, but the successes make it worthwhile.

The 2 bad hatches that I have had are from shipped eggs. I did have a successful hatch from some local eggs and did everything the same as I did this time. The worse part is that we spent $40 on 2 different breed and then to get nothing to happen.

So dissapointed that I went and got 2 new kitties from the humane society. They are just precious and the kids are probably happier now with them.
