These are my latest little ones. I crossed a Partridge roo with a white silkie hen, got those two to hatch. Are they roo? I think its too hard to tell when they have a beard and muffs.

Can anyone tell me what color this would be called as well?

a Partridge what kind of roo? Partridge is a color not a breed.

I think they are roos, but I could be wrong. See those reddish splashes of color on their wings? From what I have learned here that usually indicates a roo regardless of what breed they are.

given the deep red on the wings i am leaning towards cockerels but an age would really help :)

These little guys hatched out the third week in July, They are gonna be big, already the size of my full sized brahmas that hatched only 3 days later.

Roosters. The closest color would be a red colombian (is that even a real color or did I just pull that out of my......well.....hat

).

So they are roos, might keep one to see how they mature, and thanks to all, bearded and muffed birds are hard to sex. So as far as color is concernerd, how does one get into knowing what feather color or pattern would be called? I am a small scale breeder right now, but I want to get into creating new COLORS,
