I think this Cochin is a roo...

We have a group of chicks that are approximately at least 12 weeks old. I can tell definitely that some are roos, but this one is a mystery...

Meet Blueberry. S/he is a blue Cochin bantam, at least I think so. I know for sure s/he is a bantam.

Here s/he is compared to the others:

So, what do you think? Is s/he just a late bloomer cockerel, or a more masculine hen? I'm leaning toward roo, but I'm not sure.

I think roo. Looks more roo than my cochin roo at that age.

i think it's a rooster the comb and wattles are bigger then a hens would be at that age.

I vote hen. I don't see any shiny hackle or saddle feathers. Cochins do develop slowly, though.

As I was going out tonight I spotted Clara (the black pullet) and Blueberry all nestled up together in the grass. It was adorable!
